To begin, think about the size and shape of the portrait you'd like. If you're unsure, I’m happy to recommend the ideal dimensions based on your reference photos. Consider whether you prefer a square or rectangular portrait and how our pet will sit within those dimensions.

REFERENCE PHOTOS

Next, you’ll want to pick a clear, good-quality headshot of your pet. The best photos capture your pet’s unique personality through their expression and pose. Natural light works best. Take the photo near a window or outside on a bright but overcast day. Most importantly, I need to be able to see your pet’s eyes clearly, as that’s where so much of their character comes through.

A great photo really helps me create a portrait that feels true to your pet!
